Our Therapeutic Services

I offer psychotherapy for both adults and children, providing a safe, supportive, and confidential space to explore thoughts, feelings, and experiences. As a UKCP-accredited Integrative Psychotherapist, I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches to tailor the work to each individual. This means I pay attention not only to what is happening in the present, but also to how past experiences may shape your current relationships, feelings, and sense of self. Whether you or your child are experiencing anxiety, emotional difficulties, life transitions, or simply seeking greater self-understanding, I aim to support meaningful and lasting change at a pace that feels right for you.

I am currently in training towards a Diploma in Integrative Supervision at the Psychosynthesis Trust and offer clinical supervision to therapists and practitioners, providing a reflective, supportive, and collaborative space to explore clinical work, ethical practice, and professional development.

My approach is informed by the eight-eyed Transpersonal model, which considers the relationship between client, therapist, and supervisor, alongside the wider context in which the work takes place. Together, we can explore not only your client work, but also your internal responses, professional development, and the deeper processes that may be present within the therapeutic relationship.

We offer low-cost therapy sessions through a team of carefully selected trainee Counsellors, all currently completing their clinical placements at my practice in Shrewsbury. Our aim is to provide a welcoming, confidential space to support your mental and emotional wellbeing while making therapy accessible to more people.
What is a trainee Counsellor?
A trainee counsellor is completing professional training and seeing clients as part of a placement. They work in line with professional and ethical guidelines. Because trainee Counsellors receive regular supervision, their work is carefully thought about and supported. This means your sessions benefit from both the trainee’s input and ongoing professional oversight. Working with a trainee Counsellor can also be a more affordable way to access counselling, while still being offered a safe, ethical, and supportive therapeutic space.

Will my sessions be supervised?
Yes. I am the placement provider and supervise the trainee’s clinical work on an ongoing basis.
Why are sessions offered at a reduced rate?
Sessions are offered at a reduced rate of £25 per session because the Counsellor is in training. This allows counselling to be more accessible while remaining professionally supported through supervision.

What is the assessment session?
Before starting counselling with a trainee, I will meet with you for a 50-minute assessment session at a fee of £60. This session gives you the opportunity to talk about what brings you to counselling and to share relevant personal history. The assessment helps me ensure that your psychological needs can be safely and appropriately met by a trainee Counsellor, and that the work is within their level of training and competence.

I offer placement opportunities for trainee counsellors within a supportive and professionally guided environment. I act as both placement provider and supervisor, offering regular clinical supervision (in line with course requirements) and guidance to support trainees in developing their clinical skills, confidence, and ethical practice in line with professional standards. My aim is to create a safe and reflective learning space while maintaining a high standard of care for all clients within the practice.
